Dial to Stop Drug Dealing Campaign 2014
Monday, August 11, 2014
The Dial to Stop Drug Dealing campaign, which has been in operation since September 2008, provides people with a safe and confidential means to pass on information on drug dealing.  Since 2012, the initiative has been operated in partnership with Crimestoppers, which has an excellent track record in acting on confidential information.

In 2014, a poster promoting the campaign was designed by the winner of the poster category of the “Let’s Talk About Drugs” National Media Awards 2013.    These awards are aimed at primary and secondary school students, college students and aspiring members of the media to stimulate debate around the drugs issue in Irish communities.

Anybody with information on drug dealing in their area can call the Freephone Crimestoppers number on 1800 25 00 25.   Callers do not need to leave their name or address.   Calls are answered by Gardaí who are trained to take information from anonymous callers in such a way as it can be useful in an investigation.
